How to use LaTeX to type formulas in posts and comments

To be able to use LaTeX to type mathematical formulas in posts and comments, go to the Advanced tab of the Settings page and turn on LaTeX support.

Once this option is enabled, you can now type LaTeX formulas directly into the post body, and when you publish the post, the expanded formula will be shown.

For inline display, enclose the LaTeX code between \( and \) for example: \( E = mc^2 \)

For block display (formula shown on the whole line), enclose the LaTeX formula code between  \[ and \], for example: \[ E = mc^2 \]

For example, if you have this in the editor: 

When you publish or preview the article, the post will render with formulas expanded, like this:

You can write formulas in the same format in the comments, and when the comment is published, the expanded formula will be shown.
